About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to support various aspects of firm operations, including financial reporting, accounting, and investment fund management. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of standard accounting practices, partnership accounting, and internal controls, along with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment. Candidates with experience supporting financial service organizations, investment firms, private funds, or energy companies are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheets as part of the monthly closing process across multiple entities.
  • Support daily accounting and financial operations to ensure accurate, timely financial statements and compliance.
  • Conduct monthly profit and loss analyses and balance sheet reviews in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Develop and prepare internal financial reports to inform business unit decisions.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for multiple entities.
  • Build financial models and forecasts to aid strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Manage shared services activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash collections.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and support automation efforts utilizing company systems and technology.
  • Coordinate with external service providers such as auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators.
  • Prepare and review cash movements related to private investment funds, including capital calls and distributions.
  • Review capital statements and financial reporting packages provided by fund administrators.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly net asset value (NAV) calculations and investor reporting in coordination with fund administrators.
  • Support due diligence requests and provide updated fund performance data.
  • Prepare investor communication materials such as newsletters, presentations, and reporting reports.
  • Develop presentation materials for executive committees, advisory boards, and leadership meetings.
  • Support research, development, and launching of new investment products and initiatives.
  • Assist with trade booking activities, ensuring trading activities are accurately recorded within the order management system.
  • Provide analytical and operational support to senior leadership on strategic projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in:
    • Corporate Accounting
    • Fund Accounting
    • Financial Operations
    • Public Accounting or Audit
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting financial services organizations, investment firms, private funds, or energy companies.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Experience working with fund administrators and investor reporting.
  • Knowledge of valuation processes and investor communications.
  • Strong communication skills for preparing reports and presenting to leadership.
