About the role

NetApp is leading in intelligent data infrastructure, delivering unified storage, integrated data services, and solutions that help organizations unlock the full potential of their data—from AI to multicloud. As a Corporate Account Executive, you will serve as a trusted advisor to corporate and mid-market customers, driving outcomes, expanding relationships, and growing NetApp’s business through its integrated cloud, data, storage, security, and AI platform across four focused motions: Hybrid Cloud, Cloud, Keystone, and Cyber.

This role is ideal for sellers who thrive in fast-moving deal cycles, want real ownership, and are eager to build something from the ground up. You will operate in a high-velocity territory, leveraging a growing GTM motion with direct investment, executive visibility, and a clear mandate to win.

Location: Bay Area. This role requires travel within your territory to attend customer and partner events in person.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of corporate and mid-market customers' strategies, growth priorities, IT modernization goals, and transformation pressures.
  • Connect customer insights to NetApp’s differentiated unified platform and solution area portfolio motions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by combining business acumen, technical curiosity, and solution expertise to guide customers through data infrastructure decisions aligned with their business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a strong hunting mentality by identifying whitespace opportunities, including VMware displacement, cloud optimization, and workload-specific expansion across storage, cloud, and cyber.
  • Execute with rigor in a higher-volume deal environment by maintaining disciplined pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and MEDDICC-aligned qualification to compress deal cycles and maximize win rates.
  • Lead orchestration of an integrated pursuit team, including Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), partners, and specialists, to ensure the customer experiences one cohesive team.
  • Drive post-sale handoff to Customer Success with a clear value realization plan tied to the original business case.
  • Activate and leverage the partner ecosystem to extend reach, accelerate deal velocity, and jointly pursue significant opportunities in the corporate segment.
  • Understand hybrid cloud architectures, data platforms, and consumption economics to translate technology decisions into business impact for IT buyers, Finance leaders, and line-of-business decision-makers.
  • Build pipeline from scratch while leveraging momentum from a growing GTM motion, identifying VMware displacement opportunities, new workload targets, and net-new buyers in whitespace.
  • Convert customer pain into high-value deals aligned with NetApp’s four portfolio motions by building and pitching value-based proposals.
  • Tailor discovery, storytelling, and ROI narratives for IT, Finance, Security, and business personas, including building ROI and TCO models to guide mid-market executives through financial decisions.
  • Communicate crisply, timely, and persona-driven to simplify complexity and advance deals.
  • Leverage orchestration by activating ISRs, partners, and specialists as force multipliers while balancing in-quarter deal execution with multi-quarter territory planning.
  • Build pipeline through proactive outreach, targeted campaigns, and partner-led sourcing.
  • Commit to customer satisfaction and solution adoption to drive retention, expansion, and referrals.
  • Maintain healthy long-term customer relationships in a reputation-sensitive segment.
  • Foster a culture of belonging where diverse perspectives fuel stronger outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Results-driven, resilient, and energized by velocity in a high-volume, fast-cycle territory.
  • Proven ability to build pipeline from scratch and thrive in a culture where expectations are high and impact is nonnegotiable.
  • Strong hunting mentality with a consultative approach to selling.
  • Experience in corporate or mid-market sales, with a focus on data infrastructure, cloud, storage, or cyber solutions.
  • Ability to act as a credible, consultative seller by building and pitching value-based proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills to simplify complexity and advance deals with persona-driven narratives.
  • Commitment to collaboration, teamwork, and driving outcomes in a hybrid working environment.
