Cornea Specialist (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor)

About the Role

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor specializing in Cornea and External Diseases. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a busy tertiary clinical practice within a newly built, state-of-the-art clinic and surgery center. The successful candidate will deliver excellence in patient care, develop independent and collaborative research initiatives, and contribute to innovative educational programs in a dynamic academic medical center.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care in Cornea and External Diseases.
• Develop and lead independent and collaborative research initiatives.
• Contribute to educational programs, including resident training and teaching.
• Participate in academic activities within the department and university.

Requirements

• Completion of an ACGME-approved ophthalmology residency program.
• Postgraduate fellowship training in Cornea and External Diseases.
• Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
• Licensure (or eligibility) to practice medicine in Florida.

Pay

Expected salary range: $260,000–$285,000, commensurate with rank and experience.
