Assistant Professor - Ophthalmology - Cornea Specialist
About the role
The successful candidate will enjoy a robust clinical practice with academic responsibilities including the didactic and clinical teaching of medical students and residents. Opportunities to conduct clinical research supported by an institutional trials team exist. This position includes clinical and surgical activities at our Huntington campus facility.
Responsibilities
- Engage in a robust clinical practice focusing on cornea specialization.
- Teach medical students and residents in the didactic and clinical settings.
- Conduct clinical research supported by an institutional trials team.
- Participate in clinical and surgical activities at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine's Huntington campus facility.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology.
- Experience in cornea specialization preferred.
- Strong teaching skills and ability to mentor medical students and residents.
- Ability to secure and manage clinical research projects.
