Core Specialist I - SCAL

Duties and Responsibilities

• Test and analyze samples to determine their characteristics, using laboratory apparatus and testing equipment by using established industry protocols.
• Prepare solid and fluid samples for analysis.
• Assemble, operate, and maintain laboratory testing, measuring, and mechanical equipment.
• Compile and record testing and operational data for review and further analysis.
• Review test and operational data for initial Quality Control after completing an established training period.
• Meet all daily and monthly production requirements.

Skills and Knowledge

• General mechanical aptitude
• Intermediate knowledge of computer systems, with a focus on Excel
• Attention to detail
• Ability to verbally communicate well with all levels of employees

Requirements

• BS in a scientific discipline with an emphasis in mathematics
• 2-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting (education or in oil and gas industry)
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
