About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join the Core Automated Testing team in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, first-shift position with a rotating schedule: Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day production and non-production laboratory activities
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of testing performed by supervised staff
  • Assign appropriately trained personnel and manage staffing levels to meet workload demands
  • Schedule staff to align with workflow requirements
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, performance feedback, and troubleshooting support
  • Oversee non-production activities such as validations, surveys, and quality initiatives
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure timely completion of QC, PT, and reporting activities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
  • Support audits, inspections, client visits, and inquiries
  • Assist the department manager and act as delegate when needed
  • Participate in staff recruitment, training, development, and retention
  • Perform testing duties within area of competence as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree qualifying as a Medical Technologist
  • Four or more years of relevant clinical laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASCP, MLS, or equivalent certification

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • Knowledge of clinical laboratory operations and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Computer proficiency and ability to work with laboratory information systems

Work Environment

  • Laboratory environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous chemicals
  • No routine travel required
