About The Role
As a Cord Blood Donation Recruitment Specialist, you will:
- Educate expectant mothers and families at the bedside regarding cord blood donation and obtain informed consent in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate records by completing and submitting documentation within required timelines and following up on missing information or specimens as needed.
- Ensure compliance by reviewing and verifying all paperwork related to the collection process is complete and accurate.
- Maintain standards by ensuring collected cord blood units and supplies are stored and shipped properly.
- Coordinate collection logistics by tracking consents, tube orders, collections, and shipments to ensure timely completion prior to maternal discharge from hospital.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Preferred experience in patient consent, clinical research, hospital outreach, public health fieldwork, labor and delivery, hospitals, obstetrical offices, and/or health/patient education.
- Valid driver’s license; must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with medical professionals at every level.
- Positive bedside manner and emotional intelligence with excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Pay
Starting salary range is $17.00 - $18.70 an hour.
Schedule
Primarily first shift from 6:30 am-3 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
