Responsibilities
- Review paperwork related to the collection process with the donor mom, and ensure paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Determine initial donor eligibility
- Train hospital staff, OB/GYNs and nurses to collect cord blood according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Educate clinicians and potential donor moms on the cord blood donation process
- Ensure collected cord blood units and supplies used for collection are stored and shipped properly
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with hospital staff
- Represent and communicate Cord Blood and LifeSouth favorably to the public and participating institutions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements
- Ability to primarily work first shift. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to interact with medical professional at every level
- Positive bedside manner and emotional intelligence with excellent customer service skills
- The ideal candidate will possess Associate Degree
- Previous healthcare experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology

Pay
Starting salary range is $15.50 - $17.05 an hour.
