CORAL Instructor (Bedford)

About the role

The Autism Instructor at Bedford Education Alternatives (EA) will provide special education services to students with special learning and emotional needs. EA focuses on meeting the unique needs of each student as outlined in their Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services in the classroom
• Adhere to the core curriculum standards for the State of Ohio
• Design curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student as outlined in their IEP
• Follow a standard school schedule of Monday through Friday, totaling 187 work days in a year
• Work within the standard school hours of 8:00 to 3:30
• Perform physical restraints using the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques as necessary
• Work primarily in the school environment

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree
• Prior classroom experience working with children and adolescents
