About the role

The Inventory Clerk is a key member of the Warehouse Operations team responsible for all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, shipping, accounting for movement, and shrinkage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper product rotation.
• Enter and maintain all inventory transactions.
• Check incoming and outgoing loads for accuracy.
• Verify BOL’s, inventory transaction reports, and loading reports for accuracy.
• Verify BOL’s against billings.
• Review product for date coding.
• Take daily inventory count and process to host system.
• Resolve any discrepancies with proper parties.
• Check all built pallets prior to loading on delivery vehicles.
• Calculate and record inventory transactions dealing with product rework.
• Operate a forklift to check and correct inventory.
• Wear all assigned safety equipment and observe safety rules.
• Exhibit high ethical and moral conduct.
• Complete assigned training curriculum (web-based, in-house, or other methods).
• Protect the Company from damages, theft, or liabilities.
• Ensure safety of employee-partners, customers, and property.
• Honor and follow through on all business commitments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED).
• At least one (1) year of forklift experience.
• Ability to be forklift certified through Buffalo Rock Company.
• Basic knowledge of equipment/tools needed for essential tasks.

Work environment

Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures vary from extreme heat to extreme cold, working in rain or snow, all for extended periods.
