About the role
The Copy Supervisor role is designed for candidates who have worked extensively within a creative agency environment—4-7 years on creative teams—with demonstrated experience providing creative leadership, oversight, and strategic direction. The ideal candidate is ready to take a more senior role on a brand, partnering closely with art directors in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive copy platforms for assigned accounts. Partner with art directors to develop conceptual approaches that meet client objectives. Bring strategic marketing understanding to creative development and execution.
- Review and refine copy to ensure accuracy, strategic alignment, and creative excellence. Present creative concepts persuasively to clients.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of client business and therapeutic categories. Collaborate closely with Account, Medical Strategy, and Tech teams to ensure aligned and integrated solutions. Maintain strong relationships with Editorial, Traffic, and other agency partners.
- Attend client meetings, status updates, research sessions, and relevant trade shows, sharing insights with team members.
- Prepare and submit work for Med/Legal/DDMAC review. Maintain familiarity with scientific and medical information pertaining to agency brands. Understand market research processes to help create test materials and interpret insights.
- Manage, mentor, and supervise Junior Copywriters and Copywriters. Provide constructive feedback and guide professional growth. Oversee copy development from startup through production. Route copy to senior creative leaders for review as needed.
- Maintain awareness of advertising and marketing trends. Work efficiently across multiple projects, setting priorities and delegating appropriately. Uphold agency quality standards in all client service interactions.
- Maintain accurate timesheets and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Review and approve timesheets (if applicable). Participate in performance evaluations and help resolve staff issues. Train new hires on account processes and workflows. Monitor daily account workloads to support operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Seasoned creative professional with at least 2 years of experience as a Senior Copywriter in an HCP centric agency or equivalent organization.
- Experience in pharmaceutical and healthcare communications is essential, including a minimum of 2 years managing at least one junior copywriter.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, craft, and innovative multichannel solutions—across KOL videos, congress educational experiences, DSA campaigns, AOR campaigns for HCPs, websites, banners, and ICVAs.
Skills
- Demonstrated leadership across creative and brand teams, including examples of selling innovative work to clients and driving exceptional execution.
- A strong, thoughtfully curated portfolio showcasing award-winning creative across all media.
- Candidates should be prepared to walk through projects from briefing through execution and results.
- Deep knowledge of multiple therapeutic areas, including the strategic imperatives of brands previously supported.
- Ability to lead a team—Copywriter, Art director, studio designer—helping them grow while guiding the work.
- Professional presence and the ability to represent OmnicomHealth confidently with clients.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Journalism, Advertising, or equivalent experience.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

$101,500 - $129,000
Schedule
Flexible schedule with occasional travel (less than 30%) based on client needs.
