Copy Supervisor

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Aid in the creation of a comprehensive copy platform for each assigned account.
  • Collaborate with art directors to develop conceptual approaches that align with Client objectives.
  • Show a solid grasp of marketing principles and contribute strategic insights into marketing/advertising initiatives.
  • Show thorough knowledge of the Client’s business.
  • Attend regular status meetings and prepare and submit work for Med/Legal and DDMAC approval.
  • Show an understanding of market research to create test materials and effectively participate in research activities.
  • Attend relevant trade shows and share learnings with the team.
  • Develop positive, productive relationships with appropriate members of the Client/Agency team.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Editorial and Traffic departments.
  • Show high-level professionalism and superior writing skills.
  • Be aware of and familiar with medical and scientific information pertinent to Agency brands.
  • Stay updated on current advertising, marketing, and other communications.
  • Work autonomously on a day-to-day basis, but involve the supervisor in major decisions.
  • In-person client travel is required.

  • Assist other members of the department/team as needed when workload allows.
  • Foster senior-level partnerships with creative/account colleagues.
  • Uphold Agency quality standards in servicing the Client.
  • Maintain accurate time sheets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-6 years of copywriting, agency experience.
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.

Management Responsibilities

  • Monitor, review, and approve time sheets in terms of hours worked, if applicable.
  • Provide constructive and direct ongoing feedback.
  • Evaluate (or help to evaluate) team performance, resolve staff issues, and generate performance reviews.
  • Train (or help to train) new hires in process and procedures of the account.
  • Monitor (or help to monitor) daily account workload.

Pay

$101,500 - $129,000

Schedule

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
