About the Role
Shift Managers perform a variety of tasks, including planning each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring the team meets McDonald’s standards, overseeing safety, security, and profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager. They may also be responsible for meeting targets during their shifts and helping assigned departments meet their goals.
This position is with an independent franchisee that operates a restaurant using McDonald’s branding. The franchisee is the sole employer and is responsible for all employment matters.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily food safety checklist and practices
- Internal communication and cash/inventory management
- Daily maintenance and cleanliness
- Manage crew scheduling and ensure crew safety
- Oversee food production and exceptional customer service
- Enforce safety and security policies and procedures
- Handle customer complaints at the store level
- Practice Covid‑19 protective measures for crew and customers
- Train crew on new products and attend Nabit webcast
- Never pay cash to anyone/vendor at the location
- Lead shifts each week to deliver fast, accurate, friendly service
- Maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards
Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Professional, polite, and on‑time attitude; serve as a role model
- Honest communication
- Previous leadership experience preferred (restaurant, retail, or hospitality)
- Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for a fast‑paced environment

Pay
Shift Manager hourly rate up to $17.00, with starting rates up to $16.00/hr depending on experience and availability.
Schedule
Part‑time, full‑time, and flexible options are available. Scheduling is coordinated with the General Manager.
