About the Role
The Structural Engineer performs design, construction, and execution of structural projects. Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy, following specific, outlined, and detailed directions. This role provides resolution to readily identifiable problems with limited scope, typically resolved within one to two days using standard practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Structural Engineer IV:
- Works closely with team members to complete projects in a timely manner
- Implements and utilizes the Company’s Best Practices for projects and processes
- Demonstrates working knowledge of Revit models for clearances, potential conflicts, and relationships of various parts to the whole
- Structural Engineer III:
- Checks design calculations, cost estimates, and plan preparation
- Structural Engineer II:
- Prepares design calculations, cost estimates, and plan preparation
- Provides structural design for buildings and industrial structures
- Familiar with recent building and engineering codes including AISC, ACI, ASCE, and IBC
- Structural Engineer I:
- Performs moderately complex design calculations and custom detailing
- Identifies life safety code requirements to determine structural loading criteria
- Selects appropriate structural systems for project requirements
Requirements
- Structural Engineer IV: Bachelor’s Degree or Continuing Education; EIT Preferred
- Structural Engineer III: Bachelor’s Degree or Continuing Education; two (2) years of experience; EIT Expected
- Structural Engineer II: Bachelor’s Degree or Continuing Education; four (4) years of experience; EIT Expected
- Structural Engineer I: Bachelor’s Degree or Continuing Education; six (6) years of experience; PE License Expected
Pay
Compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors including each candidate’s relevant experience, industry background, education, and demonstrated skills. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process and may vary within the posted range.
