Customer Business Manager
Naterra International, Inc. is seeking a Customer Business Manager to support accounts within our portfolio and assist in new business development. The ideal candidate will be based in the United States and will be responsible for building partnerships and facilitating a superior customer experience.
- Build partnerships and facilitate a superior customer experience by ensuring alignment and execution against mutually agreed upon goals and business plans for Naterra, Retail Partners, and Broker/Distributors.
- Ability to understand multiple retailer go-to-market strategies – as evidenced by the ability to shift strategies and solutions as required.
- Provide ongoing tracking, analysis, and measurement of business trends and growth opportunities.
- Resolve customer service issues and build strong relationships.
- Manage and deliver against P&L targets to ensure financial objectives are achieved.
- Help support the execution of strategic planning through a closer collaboration and partnership with all buying teams.
- Forecasting shipment and consumption patterns aligned to Naterra’s Fiscal Year planning calendar.
- Help manage/analyze trade funds to efficiently drive the business.
- Support promotional strategy to help maximize sales opportunities.
- Sales and analytical support to help in preparation for all line reviews.
- Take active role in preparing and providing quarterly business reviews both internally and with the retail customer.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as Product Development, Marketing, and other internal partners to create and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Experience Required
- 3-5 years working in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry in Sales, Category management, or Customer/ Account Management.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Analytic experience and curiosity for the business.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a track record to finding solutions to complex problems.
- Knowledge and general understanding of CPG industry.
- Experience working within a P&L scorecard and tracking trade spend/expenses.
- Proven customer management experience- as evidenced by previous roles with responsibility for customer strategy and execution.
- Excellent knowledge of sales analysis and metrics including retailer specific POS systems, Syndicated data sources like Nielsen, IRI, Circana, Numerator, or Tableau.
- Critical thinking skills, not limited to piecing together data analysis to help create a sales story that is relatable to the specific retailer.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to tell a cohesive, fact-based sales story.
