Copier Service Technician

About the role

At DEX Imaging, we're dedicated to making office life smoother, faster, and less frustrating. We're seeking a Field Service Technician who combines problem-solving skills with a passion for office technology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair office technology equipment, including copiers, printers, and multifunction devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete routine service calls.
• Install, configure, and test equipment at customer locations.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support during onsite visits.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair updates clearly.
• Manage assigned territory and service schedule efficiently.
• Develop and expand knowledge of office technology, equipment, and manufacturer-specific service procedures.

Requirements

• Experience servicing office technology equipment, particularly Konica Minolta, HP, Sharp, or Canon products.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer and networking knowledge.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new equipment and technology.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Manufacturer certifications or hands-on experience servicing Konica Minolta, HP, Sharp, Canon, or similar office technology equipment.
• Transferable technical skills from other industries.
• Bonus points for experience in copier, printer, or multifunction device repair.
• Knowledge of Konica Minolta, HP, Sharp, Canon, or other office equipment brands.
• Manufacturer training or industry technical certifications.
• Automotive technician work, appliance repair, cable or satellite installation, HVAC, electrical, or electronics work, IT, computers, or networking support.
• Military technical experience.

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer and networking knowledge.
