About the role

The Coordinator State and Federal Programs is responsible for the administration, coordination, monitoring and implementation of all aspects of state and federal programs under the direction of the Director, State and Federal Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director in the administration, coordination, and monitoring of the development of fiscal and program documents required for all state and federal programs.
  • Supervises the planning, implementation, and evaluation of state and federal programs to ensure they promote district objectives, student achievement, and adhere to all federal, state, and district requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains communications and liaisons with state, federal, and other outside agencies to provide current information to district staff.
  • Completes the Consolidated Application Parts I and II.
  • Affords technical support to schools.
  • Captures the time accounting process for multi-funded personnel.
  • Attends Board of Education meetings as requested.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Principles of organization and management.
    • Curriculum concepts, instructional strategies, materials and assessment as related to state and federal programs.
    • Laws, policies and regulations pertaining to state and federal programs.
    • Ability to evaluate and supervise subordinate personnel.
    • Ability to speak and write effectively.
    • Ability to work effectively with all segments of the educational community and general public.
    • Ability to organize an effective administrative response to urgent requests/problems.
  • Education and Experience:
    • Education: BA degree in appropriate field. Shall hold Adminisrative Services Credential. Masters Degree preferred.
    • Experience: A minimum of two years successful experience in dealing with state and federal regulations. A minimum of three years successful experience as a school administrator. Successful experience working with a diverse variety of groups including principals, school staff, parents and students.
