Responsibilities
- Aid requisitioners and other hospital staff in procuring goods and services.
- Identify, research, analyze, and resolve purchasing issues with departments and suppliers.
- Communicate with department managers about discrepancies, pricing, substitutes, and backorders.
- Confirm POs with outside vendors and follow up on problem orders.
- Work with Receiving and Accounting on problematic materials or transactions.
- Maintain open communication and effective working relationships with all departments.
- Prioritize tasks for optimal productivity.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associate’s Degree preferred
- Previous hospital purchasing experience preferred
- One year of general office experience
- Knowledge of acquiring equipment, supplies, and policies & procedures
- Experience using Material Management Information system (MMIS) and EDI
- Strong communication skills

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $15.49 to $18.84 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection.
