Coordinator - Purchasing
Responsibilities
- Aid requisitioners and hospital staff in procuring goods and services.
- Identify, research, analyze, and resolve purchasing issues with other departments and suppliers.
- Communicate with department managers about discrepancies, pricing, substitutes, and backorders.
- Confirm purchase orders (PO) with outside vendors and follow up on problem orders.
- Collaborate with Receiving and Accounting on problematic materials or transactions.
- Monitor delivery expectations for all incoming materials and communicate delays effectively.
- Work with suppliers to expedite and enhance delivery performance.
- Analyze inventory order patterns and quantities.
- Maintain open communication and build positive working relationships with all departments.
- Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with colleagues at all organizational levels and external contacts.
- Prioritize tasks to maximize productivity.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- AA Degree Preferred
- Previous Hospital Purchasing Experience Preferred
- One Year General Office Experience
- Knowledge of Acquiring Equipment, Supplies, and Policies & Procedures
- Computer-Based Inventory Systems Knowledge
- Material Management Information System (MMIS) and EDI Ability
- Strong Communication Skills
Pay
BioMedical Services, Inc. offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection, considering factors such as skillset, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $10.70 to $16.09 per hour, inclusive of wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation.
