About the role
The Children’s of Alabama Business Office scope of responsibilities can vary depending on the needs from the hospital departments and guarantors that we service. The Business Office collects data from our departments, payers, and other administrative staff to ensure our financial goals are met based off guidelines, policies, and procedures that are in place. It includes overseeing all aspects of the guarantors’ charges and maintaining a relationship to help provide them the information they need to clear their outstanding balances. The Business Office is the center hub for maintaining relationships for the operational needs of our hospital.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for obtaining provider information for all COA professional billing, facility enrollment for new contracts and re-credentialing.
- Responsible for providing updated billing information to appropriate carriers to obtain and maintain provider numbers.
- Maintain complete, current, and accurate database and scanned image file on each medical provider for which COA bills professional claims.
Requirements
- Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science or Arts
- or 5 Years Staff Level
- Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
- 2 Years Staff Level
