About the role
The Coordinator, Programming Operations works as part of the A&E, History, and Lifetime Scheduling, Acquisition, and Strategy team, combining operational and administrative responsibilities. This role supports the Director of Programming Operations to optimize programming processes and refine the accuracy of critical program metadata. It includes coordinating cross-functional communications, providing administrative support to the EVP department head, and maintaining program schedules. A key responsibility is managing the day-to-day operations of the Networks’ greenlight process, serving as a central point of coordination among Programming, Production, Research, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and senior leadership teams. This highly visible role offers exposure to executive leadership and provides insight into content strategy, programming decisions, and the development lifecycle of original programming.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the monthly greenlight process for A&E, History, Lifetime, LMN, and FYI, including assembling and distributing key documents for monthly and bi-weekly decks, and coordinating creative and financial details with internal departments such as Programming, Finance, Research, Ad Sales, and Global Content Sales.
- Work closely with the Director of Programming Operations to manage the lifecycle of content, ensuring metadata accuracy and consistency from inception through launch across linear and digital platforms globally.
- Support the EVP Department Head by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and processing expenses.
- Handle program scheduling tasks, including entering linear schedules into What’s On (internal scheduling software), creating air schedules, revisions, formats, and piece number creation.
- Complete ad-hoc projects, including building presentations as needed.
- Build and improve processes to utilize technology and AI for key departmental workflows.
- Collaborate on new programming strategies for linear and non-linear platforms.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, film, television, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable working independently with large datasets and complex operational systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly.
- Knowledge and interest in television programming and the pop culture competitive landscape.
- Strong interest in data analysis and applying data-based solutions (a plus).
Pay
Hourly Pay Range: $28.99 - $32.62. Annual Incentive Target: 5%. The pay range reflects a good-faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base pay for this role. Compensation will vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience.
