About the role

The Coordinator Patient Care Services Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Clarkston) position at McLaren Health Care is responsible for assisting the nursing manager in meeting patient and employee needs within the emergency department unit. This role involves day-to-day supervision, coordination, and participation in the delivery of nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Acts as leader for the unit and liaison between staff and manager. Provides input and participates in personnel issues including hiring, scheduling, orienting, disciplining, appraising, and terminating employees.
• Captures patient placement and delivery of patient care for the assigned unit to ensure efficient nursing services and quality care.
• Affirms flow of surgery patients utilizing the OR schedule, available resources, skill of OR staff to run the daily operations of our OR suites.

Requirements

• Associate Degree from an accredited Nursing program
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license
• Three years’ experience in nursing within specific unit
• Current BLS certification

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
