RN Clinical Coordinator Emergency Room

Job Summary

The Emergency Department at St. Catherine Hospital seeks RN Clinical Coordinators with at least six months of direct RN experience. Eligible candidates for a $10,000 sign-on bonus are those hired into full-time or part-time positions; PRN positions are not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit.
• Serve as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, authorize work procedures and assign duties, shift charge, and provide input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring, and performance management of associates.
• Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments.
• Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between physicians and the patient care team.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Demonstrate ethical/legal/professional nursing and act as a professional role model for all staff.
• Promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Facilitate patient assignments based on unit and patient needs and acuity.
• Be personally accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements

• Education Requirements: Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement preferred; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred; Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
• Experience Requirements: One RN Emergency Room experience required; Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
• Licenses/Certifications Required: RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact; BLS from AHA; ACLS from AHA; EPNC or PALS required; NIHSS required; TNCC required within one year of start date.

Physical Requirements

Medium Work - Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly.

Pay Range

$33.15 - $52.88 /hour
