Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for the day-to-day supervision for the efficient, orderly, accurate and timely registration of patients who receive service from a Summa Health System facility. Coordinates with physicians, clinical supervisors and external sites following hospital policies and procedures to assure proper placement of patients. Responsible for employee scheduling and ensuring appropriate staffing levels. On-call Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

• Post‑high school level course in business, healthcare, or a closely related field of study.
• Three (3) years of experience in one of the following areas: patient access, medical records, insurance claim processing, customer service, or related public contact, patient accounting, hospital or medical office work.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $21.11/hr – $31.66/hr (base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials). Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location, are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. Summa Health believes in pay equity and considers internal equity of current team members when determining offers. The listed range is the full base salary range; hiring at the maximum would not be typical.

Schedule

Full‑time position with shifts from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. On‑call responsibilities Monday through Thursday.
