Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Processes emergency/routine parts orders for the tech service field team
- Serves as a frontline inside sales representative with added buying and warehouse responsibilities for our midstream compression packages
- Creates purchase orders based upon parts needs and submits to appropriate vendors
- Suggests parts recommendations to external customers
- Performs warehouse functions such as shipping/receiving, validating orders to ensure delivery accuracy
- Delivers and picks up parts from vendors and customers as needed (Pull truck is available during work hours)
- Maintains appropriate inventory records
- Expedites critical parts when needed
- Processes vendor return authorizations for damaged and poor quality products
- Maintains and tracks all core returns to vendors for credits
- Aids in bi-annual parts physical inventory counts
- Communicates and follows up with various vendors/customers for order updates
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- A.A. Degree preferred but not required
- 0 - 2 years minimum in the field or in a related area
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- SAP experience is a plus
- Knowledge with Ariel compressors and Caterpillar/Waukesha engines is a plus
- Proficient in Excel and Access, Word, Microsoft Office and any other required software that is used
- The Parts Coordinator must have the ability to calculate figure amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math
- Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations that may not be addressed by existing policies, procedures or protocols
- Decisions include such matters as changes of policies and regulations, order in which work is done, and application of established procedures
Working Conditions
- Work within office, warehouse and shop, and field environments
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing
- Travel, when required
- Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
- Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
