About the role
The Coordinator of School Social Work and Families in Transition Programs is responsible for coordinating social work services, collaborating with various agencies, and ensuring educational stability for homeless and foster youth.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate School Social Work Services
- Provide clinical supervision of School Social Workers
- Review treatment plans for students with Individualized Education Plans
- Collaborate with Building Administrators
- Ensure McKinney-Vento eligibility and provide services
- Serve as the foster care point of contact
- Collaborate with district programs and grant management
Requirements
- Cultural sensitivity and competence
- Experience working in urban environments and community agencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Education and licensure requirements
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Department of State license as a licensed clinical social worker
- PDE Supervisory, Principal or Pupil Services Certification
- At least three years of experience as a School Social Worker
- At least three years of experience as a social worker handling issues pertaining to homeless and foster youth
- Prior experience in the Reading School District preferred
