Coordinator of Advocacy Services (Student Services Professional III)

About the role

The Coordinator of Advocacy Services plays a key role in ensuring compliance with Title IX, VAWA, and Campus Clery Act mandates. They provide crisis intervention and advocacy services to individuals experiencing intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or stalking. Responsibilities include Title IX advocacy, criminal justice and legal advocacy, academic accommodations, accompaniment to court, hospital, and police departments, and appropriate responses across various campus locations. Collaboration with other campus departments and community resources is essential.

Responsibilities

• Crisis intervention and advocacy services for individuals experiencing intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
• Title IX advocacy and navigation.
• Criminal justice and legal advocacy.
• Academic accommodations and advocacy.
• Housing accommodations.
• Accompaniment to court, hospital, and police departments.
• Appropriate responses at various campus locations.
• Collaboration with other campus departments and community resources.

Requirements

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science, public administration, or a related field.
• Three years of full-time professional experience in student services or a related field.
• Master’s degree in a job-related field may substitute for one year of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with a student population ranging from 14 to 26 years of age.
• Multi-lingual/bilingual skills, especially in Spanish or Hmong.
• Demonstrated experience in adapting restorative/transformative justice practices.

Qualifications

$60,936 - $86,820 per year.
