Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and coordination for all student leader functions in the NSFP area.
- Recruit, train, supervise, advise, and mentor undergraduate student staff including but not limited to Orientation Leaders and First Year Experience Leaders.
- Develop curriculum and training for advanced student leaders.
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of the Undergraduate Intern and returning student staff member programs.
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, supervision and training of returning staff members, in addition to managing the recruitment, training and direct supervision of two undergraduate interns.
- Support the planning and execution of the one-day student and family orientation programs, Welcome to TU, and the 4-day orientation prior to the start of the semester. This includes curriculum design, collaboration with campus partners, specifically in Undergraduate Admissions and Academic Advising, assessment, and program logistics.
- Participate in the planning and execution of Family Weekend.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- One year of relevant experience
- Program/event management and public speaking skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in higher education, counseling or a related field
- Previous experience working with student orientation, transfer programs, academic advising, and/or undergraduate admission
Pay and Benefits
The targeted hiring range is $54,000-$57,000 and full university benefits that include 22 days of annual leave, up to 17 holidays, personal and sick days; excellent health, life, and retirement plans; and tuition remission. To learn more about our benefits, please click here.
