About the Role
Provides supervisory support for Lead Lab Assistant and Lab Assistants at off-site drawing facilities. Ensures adequate training of staff and appropriate staffing levels. Communicates with lab supervisors and doctors' offices. Develops and maintains Outpatient Phlebotomy Policies and Procedures. Oversees inventory control at all off-site locations. Coordinates and develops lab assistants, providing tools and training. Assists supervisor with general management functions.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Lead Lab Assistant and Lab Assistants at off-site facilities.
- Ensure staff are adequately trained and staffing levels are maintained.
- Communicate with lab supervisors and doctors' offices.
- Develop and maintain Outpatient Phlebotomy Policies and Procedures.
- Oversee inventory control at all off-site locations.
- Coordinate and develop lab assistants, including providing tools and training.
- Assist with general management functions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; must maintain current BLS certification throughout employment.
- Minimum of one year clerical experience in a medical/patient care setting.
- Experience using Hospital and Laboratory Information Systems, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications
- Experience in multiple technical disciplines desirable.
- Supervisory experience desirable.
- Customer service experience desirable.
- Multilingual skills desired but not required.
