Coordinator Intake Radiation Therapy
About the Role
As an Intake Coordinator of Radiation Therapy at St. Mark's Hospital, you will join a team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and compassionate customer service. This role involves coordinating patient care, managing referrals, scheduling procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination of patient care, including creating and updating patient records in the EMR database.
- Verify health insurance coverage and advise patients on visit expectations and timelines related to insurance requirements.
- Manage and schedule patient referrals from local physicians and clinics.
- Assist with scheduling procedures, consultations, and other services.
- Handle patient and provider complaints while providing excellent customer service.
- Perform standard front desk duties, track patient visits, and collect fees as needed.
- Verify insurance and perform pre-authorization for visits related to CT, MRI, bone scans, and PET scans.
- Collaborate with the team to develop processes for effective front-end clinic flow and patient appointment management.
