About the role

MMS Solutions, a division of Cardinal Health, is a specialty pharmacy serving nephrology physician offices and clinics. Located in La Vergne, Tennessee, MMS Solutions is a full-service closed-door specialty pharmacy dedicated to dispensing renal-specific medications, nutritional products, and ancillary supply orders directly to patients' homes.

Responsible for providing effective customer care to our nephrology base customers. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, reliability, and proficiency in computers.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage moderate to high call volume.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and clinicians in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Input patient data into the pharmacy information management system with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Resolve patient/customer inquiries with the most effective response.
  • Display a professional approach with team members at all times.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of and abide by all HIPAA, Board of Pharmacy, and applicable federal and state regulations.

Requirements

  • Call center experience preferred.
  • National PTCB Certification preferred.
  • Must be a registered pharmacy technician in the state of Tennessee.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two years of college experience or relative work experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, with a desire to provide superior phone customer service.
  • Candidate must demonstrate initiative, time management, organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and a positive attitude.
  • Must be willing to take on additional duties when needed.
  • Must be responsible and willing to function as a cooperative team member.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn competencies in the pharmacy information system.

What is expected at this level

  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks.
  • Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution.
  • Refers to policies and past practices for guidance.
  • Receives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignments.
  • Consults with supervisors or senior peers on complex and unusual problems.

Pay

Anticipated hourly range: $18.90 - $24.30 per hour. Bonus eligible: No.

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience, skills, and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
