Coordinator III, Innovation Lab
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Coordinator III, Learning Center provides oversight of daily operations to one or more Learning Centers or Tutoring Labs. Leads, plans, develops, evaluates, and improves assigned area. Assigned area and responsibilities will be extensive and/or highly specialized. Responsible for the success of assigned area, ensuring smooth and efficient operations as well as compliance with policies, procedures, and a variety of local, state, and federal regulations.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain records.
- Maintain current knowledge base of assigned area and acts as a point of contact for internal and external customers.
- Evaluate success factors for assigned area and create plans for improvement.
- Ensure and maintain compliance with local/state/federal compliance of processes and documentation.
- Aid in or lead opportunities to develop new programs in support of assigned area.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, train, and develop department staff.
- Develop reports utilizing independent research and presents findings to internal/external constituents (may include LSC Managers/Executives, community members, and/or outside groups and organizations).
- Cook up, schedule, and coordinate various meetings/seminars/events, including site selection and preparation, marketing and training materials, and general support.
- Monitor and control resources such as office supplies and equipment needed within the department; submit requisitions, and review and approve/deny purchase requests in accordance with the budget; assist with managing the department budget.
- Update the campus website with a Content Management System.
- May maintain and troubleshoot low-level software and technology for individual learners.
- Pursue grant funds to support new programs.

Physical Abilities
- The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items.
- The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as above average agility and dexterity.
Work Schedule And Conditions
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, 3D printers, laser and vinyl cutters, video and audio recording equipment, and electronic equipment.
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position.
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
- Work schedule may include evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to area of specialty.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Salary
Hiring salary range is $48,152 - $55,375. Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
