About the role
The Coordinator II, Meeting Coordination supports the Institutional Review Board (IRB) Services team by managing incoming submissions, coordinating meetings, and preparing informed consent forms. This role ensures regulatory compliance and facilitates communication among stakeholders to advance the ethical review process.
Responsibilities
- Support IRB meeting preparation and coordination
- Review submissions for readiness and assignment to IRB meetings
- Communicate assignments and updates to reviewers
- Facilitate clarifications between Client Services and Board reviewers
- Assist with preparation of meeting and post-meeting informed consent forms
- Prepare meeting determinations with Senior Meeting Coordinator
- Conduct pre-reviews of consent forms for regulatory compliance
- Edit consent forms to meet regulatory and operational standards
- Apply client-required language to consent documents
- Collaborate with Board members and staff to incorporate necessary edits
- Perform informed consent quality control checks
- Maintain and improve regulatory knowledge
- Complete required Human Subjects Research training
- Attend IRB meetings to enhance process understanding
- Suggest process improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1+ year of IRB or clinical research experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years with an associate’s degree
- Proficiency with MS Word and Outlook
- Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, messaging and remote meeting applications
- Basic knowledge of Federal laws and guidelines on Human Subjects Research Protection
- Clear and professional communication skills in English
- Public speaking confidence
- Ability to edit technical and medical documents and translate them into lay terms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage priorities and work remotely
- Dependable and produces high quality work
Pay
The base salary range for this role is $54,029 to $89,158. Position may be eligible for a variable bonus, health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
