About the role
Conduct research and investigative interviews concerning compliance reviews and allegations of violations of District policy and preserve documentation in accordance with document retention guidance. Participate in strategic planning sessions, providing input and support to leadership to achieve district goals; assist the Compliance Manager and investigators in closing investigations; and conduct site visits as necessary for compliance reviews and investigations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Document Management Systems related to the Compliance Function in PSO and collect, organize and run analytics needed for reports and assessments.
- Prepare memorandum of investigation (MOI) when assisting investigators.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees by responding to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries to assist with Professional Standards Office-related topics, while remaining impartial and confidential.
- Research and analyze laws, regulations, policies, and precedent decisions to prepare for meetings and to determine conclusions.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- One year of directly related experience or experience in some capacity of human resources, and/or an administrative investigative role.
Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the techniques, methods and procedures used in gathering information, conducting interviews, and effective writing.
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations firmly, courteously, tactfully and impartially.
- Proven ability to present a positive image for the district, maintain professional demeanor, provide effective customer service, and make good decisions.
- Knowledge of current rules, policies, regulations, laws, principles, and practices related to employee misconduct.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to safeguard sensitive and confidential information from intentional or unintentional disclosure.
- Ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks and to work under time pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proven skills in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to present a positive image for the department and organization.
- Proven strong customer service skills.
- Must possess exceptional writing skills.
Pay & Schedule
- Minimum Salary: $56,988.00
- Median Salary: $69,500.00
- Schedule: Full-time
