The Shared Services Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources function and duties. Assists with the implementation of services, policies and programs. Carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: onboarding, employee relations, timekeeping, benefits, organizational development and/or HRIS technology.
Position Responsibilities May Include
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, payroll, procedures, programs, etc.; resolve issues and escalate to appropriate point of contact if further assistance is needed
- Assists with employee relations, benefits, training, events, communications and compensation programs
- Responsible for the Remedy ticket system
- Ensures timely and accurate processing and proper withholding of employee garnishments
- Prepares and requesting manual checks
- Maintains and updates payroll records
- Ensures that appropriate approvals are verified for payroll processing
- Seeks and receives approval from upper management for payments when needed
- Coordinates and oversees the PTO balances, anniversary and termination payout
- Assists with departmental audits to ensure compliance and consistency of Company and Government (Federal and State) requirements and policies.
- Provides support to other HR functions and administrative areas in the Company (such as FMLA)
- Assist with employee relations, benefits, training, events, communications and compensation programs
- Assist with the collection of new hire documents and processing of I-9s & E-Verify
- Conduct new hire employee orientations (including badging)
- Process new hire data in the HRIS system along with updating employee data as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Proficient computer skills – MS Office – Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with HRIS systems/platforms
- Ability to focus, high level of attention to detail and accuracy of information

- Effective organizational and time management including priority setting skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work flexible schedule when necessary
- Strong mathematical, technical and analytical skills along with keen attention to detail ability to handle a heavy workload and ability to prioritize
- Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
Experience
2-4 years preferably in a high volume manufacturing environment
Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Additional training/education is a plus
