About the role

The Coordinator of Curriculum and Assessment (CCA) is a full-time, 12-month, live-on professional staff position and serves as a core member of the Residential Education professional team. The CCA provides department-wide leadership for curriculum development and assessment, with primary responsibility for designing, coordinating, and sustaining a comprehensive curriculum and assessment framework for the entire Residential Education Department.

Responsibilities

  • Manages crisis and emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of University processes and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
  • Develops original ideas to solve problems.
  • Judgment and decision-making, problem-solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance.
  • Knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization.
  • Project management, problem identification, and reasoning skills.
  • Supports professional and student staff in implementing evidence-based practices.
  • Ensures alignment with institutional priorities, accreditation standards, and student success goals.
  • Contributes to the residential community through the development, coordination, and assessment of residential curriculum and learning-centered initiatives.
  • Participates in crisis response rotation and partners with housing and residential education staff to integrate curricular models, learning outcomes, and pedagogical practices into the residential environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of assessment tools and methods.
  • Critical understanding of residential curriculum frameworks and implementation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of student development theories and practices.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization.
  • Project management, problem identification, and reasoning skills.

Benefits

The full salary range for the Coordinator for Curriculum and Assessment is $56,000 - $96,400 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $65,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
