About the role
Comcast's Corporate Communications team in Philadelphia, PA develops and executes communications strategies that strengthen the company's reputation and highlight our purpose-driven initiatives. This role will support the team in planning and executing strategies that elevate the Comcast brand and corporate reputation among key audiences. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. They must be an excellent writer, researcher, and collaborator who can manage multiple priorities with efficiency and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Support cross-department coordination to ensure alignment and collaboration on strategic communications initiatives
- Help manage the team's operational needs, including budget tracking, vendor coordination, and invoice processing
- Conduct research on media trends, industry issues, executive engagements, and competitive activity to inform team strategy and messaging
- Maintain organized documentation of communications materials, project status, and internal resources
- Draft and edit communications materials, including press releases, blog posts, executive remarks, internal messaging, and talking points
- Assist in planning and executing internal and external company events
- Maintain and generate current team calendars and schedules
- Track and compile media coverage reports and press summaries for distribution to key stakeholders
- Support brand initiatives through proactive project management and strong attention to detail
- Collaborate with internal partners to gather information, review materials, and ensure accuracy and consistency in all deliverables
- Provide general support across communications projects and day-to-day team operations as needed
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be a proactive team player and able to work early mornings, nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; Comcast may also consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience
- 2-5 years relevant work experience
