About the role
The Coordinator: Community Perinatal Services will coordinate and deliver a high-quality, trauma-informed service, offering specialist emotional and practical support to pregnant women and new mothers for up to 12 months post-birth. Women supported through this service are experiencing multiple disadvantage and live in the community, predominantly in the northeast London area.
Working closely with the Community Services Team, you will deliver bespoke support through home visits, remote contact and community groups, and will help women prepare for birth, navigate early parenting and access wider sources of support.
You will also coordinate and support the volunteers who deliver the majority of our birth support service, including their recruitment, training and ongoing reflective practice. The role involves regular attendance at meetings and community groups in London.
This is a varied, relationship-led role, ideal for someone with experience of supporting women through the perinatal period and of working with volunteers, who is passionate about trauma-informed, women-centred practice and wants to make a real difference to women facing multiple disadvantage in the community.
