About the role
This position provides skills training and psychosocial rehabilitation services, supported employment and education services for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Services are provided in a team-based, person-centered, and recovery-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains long-term contact with clients, client families, and service providers for employment, medical, social, educational, substance abuse, and related service needs.
- Works within federal, state, and local guidelines under the direction of the Coordinator Specialty Care (CSC) Team Lead.
- Uses a team-based, person-centered, and recovery-oriented approach to support clients in managing their psychiatric symptoms and achieving success in various aspects of life.
- Serves individuals aged 15-30 who have experienced their first episode of psychosis symptoms within the past two years.
- Works with an interdisciplinary team caring for up to 20-30 clients.
- Provides services in Paris, Mt. Pleasant, and Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a qualified human services field including psychology, social work, sociology, special education, early childhood education, counseling, human growth and development, rehabilitation, gerontology, physician assistant, medicine, or nursing.
- Valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record, along with personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.
Preferred Qualification
- Two years of experience as an AMHP-CS in a community mental health center.
- Working knowledge and/or the ability to learn Electronic Health Records, MBOW, CARE, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other computer-related programs as required.
Pay
Employer-cost sharing of health insurance (includes 50% of elected dependent coverage), employer-paid short-term disability insurance, loan forgiveness program, employee assistance program, pet insurance, employer-paid term life insurance, employer-match retirement contributions (up to 5% of base salary).
Schedule
13 paid holidays per year, 2 weeks paid vacation leave per year with a graduating accrual rate, 2+ weeks paid sick leave per year.
