Responsibilities

• Support the Lead instructor in weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise
• Support the Lead instructor in establishing a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged
• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels
• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment
• Track student growth and offer positive, helpful feedback
• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach

Requirements

• A fun, enthusiastic, adaptable instructor, with some experience and interest teaching school age children
• Has subject matter expertise in Cooking, Baking, Culinary Art
• Has a passion and skill for building hands-on projects with kids
• Has excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
• Can take direction from the Main Instructor
• Knows how to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Brings your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
• Is cooperative, supportive, flexible
• Is dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy … and also appreciates support and clear expectations

Skills

Subject matter expertise in Cooking, Baking, Culinary Art; ability to build hands‑on projects with kids; passion for teaching and personal development; ability to take direction; skill creating fun, structured, inclusive classrooms; creativity; cooperation; dependability; proactivity.

Pay

Assistants in the Togetherhood network are paid per class. Most classes are one hour. This is contracted, supplemental 1099 work.
