Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare food for service.
- Using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Maintains safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment.
- Restocks and/or breaks down workstation at the conclusion of the shift.
- Assists in controlling product costs by ensuring the proper management of product waste.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Speed, and efficiency are of the utmost importance. Ability to multi-task and organizational structure.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- WOK COOK EXPERIENCE A PLUS
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- An upbeat and friendly attitude
- Open availability and flexible schedule for demanding hours
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more
