Cook Pastry, Banquet
Position Overview
The Banquet Cook, Pastry assists all chefs from the banquets department and supporting venues and outlets across the resort. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods and pastries, decorating and presenting them, and ensuring food quality and cleanliness.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods
- Follow and execute all plate and food items according to company specifications
- Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
- Keep the Executive Pastry Chef and Executive Pastry Sous Chef informed of all pertinent information and any irregularities
- Ensure food quality according to department standards and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards
Qualification Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- 2 years’ experience in a high volume/high quality pastry production kitchen, familiar with classic and modern techniques (preferred)
- Some knowledge in artistic sugar and chocolate making, creative and passionate
- Culinary/pastry training degree is preferred, but not required
- Absolutely willing and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Willing and able to work in a creative, fast-paced, and somewhat stressful environment

Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill set, considering a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity and market data alignment.
