Cook (Part-Time)(Every Other Weekend) - Cypress Square

About the role

Cypress Square is seeking cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals in a high-quality, cutting-edge Assisted Living Community. This part-time position plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing resident satisfaction through culinary and managerial skills.

Schedule: Afternoons and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Prepare palatable foods that are appetizing in appearance.
• Adhere to safety and sanitary requirements.
• Learn and follow basic tasks and written/verbal instructions.
• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and helpful demeanor to ensure proper and timely service.
• Follow grooming and dress requirements.

Requirements

• Maintain a current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or complete the required training to become certified.
• High School diploma or GED accepted.
• One (1) year of job-related experience, including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets.
• Three years' experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred.
• Culinary arts experience or apprenticeship/training preferred.
• CPR and First-Aid certifications preferred.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a safety or health threat to self or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
