Cook - Part-Time

About the role

The hospital is a critical illness recovery facility dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. The position involves preparing meals for both patients and the cafeteria staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized recipes and portion control
• Stay informed of nutritional services and regulatory requirements
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment
• Prepare meals for patients and cafeteria staff

Requirements

• One (1) year of cooking experience
• High School degree or equivalent preferred
• Culinary Arts degree preferred
• Completion of a state or local food safety-training course

Qualifications

• Committed to providing exceptional patient care
• Part-time/per diem positions eligible for 401k after 1,000 hours within the first anniversary or subsequent calendar year

Skills

• Knowledge of nutritional services and regulatory requirements
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
• Attention to detail for cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
