About the role
The hospital is a critical illness recovery facility dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. The position involves preparing meals for both patients and the cafeteria staff.
Responsibilities
- Follow standardized recipes and portion control
- Stay informed of nutritional services and regulatory requirements
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment
- Prepare meals for patients and cafeteria staff
Requirements
- One (1) year of cooking experience
- High School degree or equivalent preferred
- Culinary Arts degree preferred
- Completion of a state or local food safety-training course
Qualifications
- Committed to providing exceptional patient care
- Part-time/per diem positions eligible for 401k after 1,000 hours within the first anniversary or subsequent calendar year
Skills
- Knowledge of nutritional services and regulatory requirements
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
- Attention to detail for cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
