Responsibilities
- Prepare food for service. Using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
- Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment
- Assists in controlling product costs by ensuring the proper management of product waste
- Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met
- Speed and efficiency are of the utmost importance. Ability to multi-task and organizational structure
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Can communicate effectively in English
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
