About the role

The cook will prepare fresh fruits or vegetables for all students at the designated school and maintain facilities in a sanitary condition. Grandview School District is a rural and innovative district serving over 3,800 students (92% Hispanic) in the lower Yakima Valley, known for fruit, wine, and hop production, with over 300 days of sunshine per year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh fruits or vegetables for all students at the designated school.
• Maintain facilities in a sanitary condition.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Job related experience is desired.
• Minimum qualifications: Food Service Experience Preferred.
• Physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; some fine finger dexterity.
• Work posture: approximately 5% sitting, 20% walking, 75% standing.
• Environment: minimal temperature variations; generally hazard‑free.

Pay

Salary: $20.58 – $24.87 per hour (depending on experience).
