About the role

Cook II / Sous Chef at CooperRiis's kitchen offers a creative and supportive environment for meal preparation using fresh, local, and organic whole foods. Set shifts ensure guaranteed hours each week.

Responsibilities

  • Timely preparation and service of scheduled meals and snacks
  • Creativity in meal preparation and planning using fresh, local, and organic whole foods
  • Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment
  • Follows all applicable health code regulations
  • Absorbs specific dietary needs
  • Assists in the dish room as needed
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or 2-5 years of experience
  • Thorough knowledge of whole food cuisine
  • Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Experience working with adults coping with mental health challenges is preferred
