About the Role
The Cook II prepares patient and cafeteria food, special functions according to planned menus, using standardized recipes and production sheets.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity food for patients and cafeteria using standardized recipes and production sheets
- Practice special diets and food cost control principles relative to production
- Adhere to standardized recipes, portion control, labeling, and dating
- Demonstrate creativity in food preparation and presentation
- Follow instructions and utilize large equipment for quantity food preparation
Requirements
- Minimum of two years in quantity cooking, with hospital/healthcare experience preferred
- Culinary training from an accredited program preferred
- Basic knowledge of quantity food preparation
- Food Handlers Card required
