Major Job Duties

  • Set up and break down various cooking stations.
  • Fulfill supply requisitions for stocking cooking stations.
  • Assist other cooks in grilling, cooking in wok, sautéing, stirring soups, monitoring roasts, broiling items, and chopping vegetables.
  • Observe and eventually perform all tasks in the kitchen.
  • Gain exposure to various kitchen operations.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Welcoming and assisting team members with a good morning or afternoon greeting.
  • Display a professional and courteous demeanor with all team members and staff.
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all staff.
  • Perform related work as requested.

    Experience

    • 1 year experience in Asian, Italian, or casual cooking in a specialty restaurant preferred.

    Educational Background

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Some college level courses.

    Skills

    • Professional, pleasant, and confident presentation.
    • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
    • Understanding and comprehending recipes and menus.
    • Basic mathematical skills.
    • Knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies, and procedures.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

    Certification/License

    • Clark County Health Card.
