Responsibilities
- Prepares menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment.
- Works on food prep and operates on the line as needed.
- Ensures high food quality standards to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Maintains portion control, food waste, and sanitation.
- Reports any maintenance required for kitchen equipment.
- Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Observes and tests foods to ensure proper cooking.
- Plans menus and estimates expected food consumption.
- Consults with Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
- Meets the company standard for excellent attendance.
- Cooks and packages food products prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
- Receives verbal orders from the front counter staff for food product requirements.
- Ensures quality and production standards on all menu items.
- Manages portion control and serving temperatures of all products served in the concession stand.
- Cleans, stocks, and restocks workstations and displays.
- Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and ovens.
- Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and equipment at the end of the shift.
- Is checked out by the Floor Supervisor before ending the shift.
Qualifications
- Previous cook or prep cook experience required.
- Able to operate standard kitchen equipment, including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
- Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
- ServSafe preferred.
